    Elitist posture, though it is true.
    We, Americans refuse in public to say what we believe; not everyone has the same interests or abilities – is it demeaning to celebrate knowledge acquired after long years of study, if it is another’s triumph?
    We are selfish. If you have no interest in class and sit distracted at the teacher’s efforts to inform…how is it six years later your uninformed opinion is solicited and held in any regard – much less a valuable opinion.
