In the mid 90s, Bevan McShea and I shared a college room and, consequently, secondhand rubber cement fumes, in a Kutztown University dormitory known as Schuykill Hall. In the mid 10s, we inhabit two sides of the marginally mighty Schuykill River. Now, we’ve combined our aesthetic vision, multiple media, skulls, flowers and Trader Joe’s cookies to create Skullkill Spring. Conveniently, tees and original artwork will be available for sale AND make the perfect gift for dads, grads and Brads.

See you there.

Not only will I be telling a story at First Person Arts’ upcoming “Obsessed” StorySlam, I’m also hosting. This is a unique opportunity to be doubly disappointed in me.

I’ll be telling a horrendous story while people try to drink lattes.

After you tell a few stories at various StorySlams without wetting your pants, they invite you to be a guest storyteller. On April 9th, I’ll weave a tale of guerrilla art identity crisis to kick the night off. It’s rumored that everyone in attendance will receive a FREE painting. I started that rumor.

Monday, April 9th, 8:30 – 10:30 PM
World Cafe Live
3025 Walnut St. Philadelphia, PA

To say that I’m terribly proud of my students is a terrible understatement. Consider helping me celebrate their artistic accomplishments over juice and Vienna Fingers.

Opening Reception: Saturday, January 21st, 1:00-4:00PM
Main Line Art Center
746 Panmure Rd. Haverford, PA

The Wig Party

On the third Tuesday of every month, Team UsedWigs congregates at Philadelphia’s #1 second story cabaret, L’Etage, to record a new episode of our award-deserving podcast, in front of a you-filled audience. Count on savory crepes, unsavory conversation, captivating guests and intoxicating  beer. Admission is free, like this great country.

3rd Tuesday of Every Month, 8:00-10:00PM
L’Etage
624 S. 6th St. Philadelphia, PA

Please consider showing your support for the arts in education by attending this exciting event. I’ll be your best friend.

The event highlights the work of LMSD’s talented art faculty and serves as the official opening of the District’s newly-renovated administration building. The building, an historic landmark noted for its classic art deco design, will be transformed into a gallery featuring selections of original work from art teachers of all levels. Blake Bradford, a 1988 graduate of Harriton High School and current Director of Education at The Barnes Foundation will serve as show curator and special guest speaker.

Opening Reception: Thursday, October 6th, 7:00-9:00PM
LMSD Administration Building
