Someone recently wrote with a “permanent” marker on the “erasable” board in my art classroom. Not since the unstoppable force met the immovable object has there been such a spectacular literal dilemma.
A collection of marker compositions juxtaposed with a suburban landscapes. I created the drawing of the houses first, then scanned them into the computer. Next, I manipulated the colors, printed out the design and then went to town with a marker directly on top of the printed image.
I wish that I could see 5 seconds in to the future so that I’d know better than to let a person merge in front of me who doesn’t give the “thank you” wave.
A political piece created hot on the heels of the 2000 election. Little did I know that the issue depicted would turn out to be the least of our problems.
