Keisha Hutchins at Tin AngelPosted by: Todd Marrone in Announcements, Digital Media, Dry Media, PodcastLast Saturday eve, I pointed my cycle towards the Tin Angel to soak in the sonic stylings of fellow podster, Russ Starke. After his superb show, sultry songbird, Keisha Hutchins, sauntered onstage for a smoldering set. I doodled this, by candlelight, during her set. Days later, I digitally dressed it, by fluorescent light, during my break. On the evening of Friday, June 12th (8-10pm), UsedWigs Radio will take our award-deserving podcast to the stage. Ardmore’s MilkBoy Coffee plays digital and physical host as we simultaneously broadcast, record and perform our first LIVE show. In addition to our typical podfoolery, the bill includes live music by Philadelphia’s The Grundles, literary musings via “Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook” co-author, Josh Piven, stand-up by Don Weir, a science demonstration by PuttyWorld’s Crazy Aaron, audience participation, prizes, FREE original art and more. Tickets are a measly seven bucks, BYOB.
One day, I fashioned a freakish fella with pie-hole eyes. Days later, a talented e-pal refashioned the fella as the first inhabbitant of Nether Netherland. I feel like a proud uncle. Based on the popular descending auction unveiled at last year’s “One Night Stand“, I’m liquidating my artventory during a three week show at Casciano Coffee Bar & Sweetery. A May 8th reception, including live art and music, kicks off the show. Framed paintings and large works on canvas will begin with a price tag of $600. Every four days, the prices will be cut in half. As the month ripens, the work will be less expensive and less likely to be available. My “Speaking Of” design has finally hit the Zero Boutique. For a limited time, the graphic will be custom printed on a staggering variety of tee, sweat, tank and baseball shirts in a doubly staggering variety of colors. Customize with your custom eyes. A spiffy new “Love Cats” gallery page preceeds an upcoming Marrone-designed Zero tee. Keep your eye on this thread for new threads. |
