Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band

The slightly quirky, very energetic, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band opened for Bishop Allen last Thursday night at the First Unitarian Church. I doodled this  Sketchy Review as I soaked in the former performance.

Last night, I ventured into West Philadelphia to check out the city’s coveted avant-jazz series, Sci-Fi Philly. The first band, a spectacular jazz trio called White Rocket, compelled me to doodle my first live Sketchy Review.

The Scribble Project

Aussie art archivist, Lisa Currie, just launched an interesting digital endeavor called The Scribble Project. Primo doodlers are invited to complete a sketch-friendly questionnaire and mail it back for e-clusion. I’m flattered and excited to be a founding contributor.

Wing Fest 2009

Every year, the Lower Merion School District hosts a wing-eating competition to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. This is great news for sick kids but terrible news for chickens.

Last year, I placed in the top five. This year, I’m hoping that my tee design will help to sway the judges.
