Special thanks to the rip-roarers who made UsedWigs Radio’s first live event a rip-roaring good time. The response and reaction was really resounding.
The SS UsedWigs LIVE sets sail TONIGHT at 8:00pm. Don’t be left on the dock.
A self-adhesive, artistic ensemble punctuated Sweet Mabel’s Sideshow Spectacular. Props to Putty Aaron for a proper Polaroid of the proceedings. Based on the popular descending auction unveiled at last year’s “One Night Stand“, I’m liquidating my artventory during a three week show at Casciano Coffee Bar & Sweetery. A May 8th reception, including live art and music, kicks off the show. Framed paintings and large works on canvas will begin with a price tag of $600. Every four days, the prices will be cut in half. As the month ripens, the work will be less expensive and less likely to be available.
Once again, the Wildcats welcomed me into their den to deliver a live art presentation titled, “Moment of Art.” The highly-anticipated annual engagement is punctuated by artistic collaborations with audience members, an improvisational mural and the distribution of dozens of free paintings.
Thanks to all who populated Main Line Art Center’s recent One Night Stand. In the true spirit of one-night-stand-cheapness, I resurrected last year’s descending price structure.
Longtime pal and collaborator, Bevan McShea, and I recently teamed up for another installment of Jazz Tactics. This time around, Bevan mixed, mashed and scratched audio from the 2001: A Space Odyssey Soundtrack while I spit out dozens of intergalactic, impromptu paintings. Later that evening, Bevan “Starhaven” Mcshea unveiled his newest album, Iron Light. Join Bevan “Lightborn” McShea and I at MilkBoy Coffee on 1/22 as we reinterpret 2001: A Space Odyssey via turntables, paint and easels. Stick around as Bevan “Starhaven” McShea releases his new record, Iron Light. |
