Opening Reception: Friday, June 7th, 6ish – 9ish PM In the mid 90s, Bevan McShea and I shared a college room and, consequently, secondhand rubber cement fumes, in a Kutztown University dormitory known as Schuykill Hall. In the mid 10s, we inhabit two sides of the marginally mighty Schuykill River. Now, we’ve combined our aesthetic vision, multiple media, skulls, flowers and Trader Joe’s cookies to create Skullkill Spring. Conveniently, tees and original artwork will be available for sale AND make the perfect gift for dads, grads and Brads. See you there. Guests: Peter Cortner (Dag Nasty), Bevan McShea (The Phoenix Veil) & comedian Rachel Bensen Topics: Female Comedian Problems, Bobbleheads, Hobo Overkill, Comforters, Bad Roommates, Annoying Marathon Runners, Popcorn Cooking Tips, Cheap Trick, Fugazi, City Gardens, Punk Shows, First Punk Bands You Loved, Dinosaur Rock and Bands You’ll Always Go See. Playlist: “Dag Nasty,” “Under Your Influence” and “All Ages Show” by Dag Nasty. “A Novel Idea” and “Fathers” by The Phoenix Veil. Bevan McSchea, Justin Duerr and yours truly combine forces for a monthlong group show unified by strong contour lines and our weakness for cityscapes. Celebrate the 4th of June at the opening reception. Friday, June 4th, 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM Former college roommate and longtime pal, Bevan McShea, and I are slated to return to MilkBoy for another installment of Jazz Tactics. He spins records to my paint-flinging while I fling paint to his record-spinning while you bask in the gloriousness of the artistic collision. See you there. Friday, March 12th, 8:00 – 10:00 PM
The SS UsedWigs LIVE sets sail TONIGHT at 8:00pm. Don’t be left on the dock. Long-time pal, Bevan McShea and his lovely, expecting, wife recently purchased their first home. I popped in to add my $0.02 to his art(s) room mural.
Longtime pal and collaborator, Bevan McShea, and I recently teamed up for another installment of Jazz Tactics. This time around, Bevan mixed, mashed and scratched audio from the 2001: A Space Odyssey Soundtrack while I spit out dozens of intergalactic, impromptu paintings. Later that evening, Bevan “Starhaven” Mcshea unveiled his newest album, Iron Light. Join Bevan “Lightborn” McShea and I at MilkBoy Coffee on 1/22 as we reinterpret 2001: A Space Odyssey via turntables, paint and easels. Stick around as Bevan “Starhaven” McShea releases his new record, Iron Light.
Former college roommate, current creative collaborator and future bank-heist partner, Bevan “Starhaven” McShea, invited me to join him on stage during a recent acoustic performance. |
