Todd “The Dragon” Marrone, Competitive Eater

Following in the footsteps of Kobayashi, Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas and Bobby Brady, I recently competed in my first eating contest. The Dragon (best known for his flashy costume and referring to himself in the third person) devoured 48 buffalo wings in five minutes.

The event raised over $1500 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Oncology Unit. Indigestion is a small price to pay to fight childhood cancer.

    Hey Todd,
Saw the picture of the day but didn’t realize it was for CHOP and the oncology unit. You know that is a place that is near and dear to our heart. Let us know next time you do it so that we can donate money or be there for you.
    Keep up the good work.

that is quite impressive! ….FRIGHTENING…but impressive. All I can think about is my buffalo wing pig out experience… they were a tad on the spicy side going down… yanno…the spicy part doesnt seem to digest very well and comes out exactly the same in every way on the way out.

    horrible…

You’re..er… “The Dragon” is a Hero.

You are an amazing giver. Not many people would join their friends in a fun night out eating tasty wings to raise money for a worthwhile cause. Dot is right about all she says about you. You’re not the next DiSalvo, you’re just someone that can eat like him.
    I agree with Yurii,
    THE DRAGON ROCKS!!!

Dude – you really live life to the fullest. The beard was the best idea ever wasn’t it!? Did you give Heather a kiss afterwards? Well, Johnny actually idolizes Kobiyashi, but wait until I show him these pics!!!!

He never ceases to amaze! You first ask yourself, “What the hell is wrong with him?” and then you say, “ I should of thought of that!” and you conclude with “I wonder if he does Birthday Parties?”

You may just be the happiest human being I have ever known. Everything you participate in seems to make you absolutely giddy which becomes completely infectious and causes the rest of the room to feel your happiness too. And somehow, during all of this joy, you do something for someone that isn’t even there so that they might feel the happiness in the near future. Thank you on behalf of the children that you have helped.
