Summer Solstice at the Kimmel Center

You never forget your first hickey, even especially if it was given to you by a hot tub.

Colleague and pal, Kevin Ginsberg, cut his StorySlam teeth as well. Thanks to former student, Hahri Shin, for capturing our moments in the sun.

Acrylic on Paper • 30’x8′ • Free to a Good Home

In the fall of 2009, our pals at Primer Gallery hosted an art event titled Nightline. During the opening reception, I painted a GIANT paper mural. If you have a GIANT yearning for art and a GIANT empty wall but a tiny budget… drop me a line.

Ink on Napkins • 4″x8″ • Private Collection

Last evening, I found myself at a pal’s relative’s bar with pals and relatives. I drew a picture of my lovely wife on a filthy napkin and my wife returned the favor. Longtime comrade, Scott, and sister-in-law, Kimmy, followed suit.

Ink on Paper • Ardmore United Methodist Preschool

Today, I created big paintings with/of/for the little people at my son’s preschool. In a little time, the little people will add a little color.

StorySlam Dunk at L’Etage

Everyone has a story about going to the bathroom in a holiday gift bag. Mine scored me first honors and fan favorite at a recent First Person Arts’ StorySlam at L’Etage.

Sincerest thanks to those who laughed with/at me.

MilkBoy Acoustic

The sight of sound from last evening’s Sound & Vision opening reception.

Ink on Cardstock • AUMP Fall Fair

This morning, I volunteered at my son’s preschool’s Fall Fair. I spent two hours transforming youngsters’ signatures into monsters. This was, perhaps, the best/worst/only thing to happen to monster making since this.

Acrylic • Underground Arts at the Wolf Building

Say “hi” to low res pics of a high profile piece painted in the lowest level of a high rise building. Stay tuned for more photos of this massive underground undertaking as more photos are taken.

Acrylic on Canvas & Wall • The Room Down the Hall

The collaborative paintings are hung, the room is complete and the reviews are in:

“I don’t hate it.”
-Heather Hall, Wife

“I wanna go downstairs and play with toys.”
-Rocco Marrone, Son and Co-collaborator

“Ga Ga.”
-Matilda Marrone, Daughter

All the World Cafe Live’s a Stage

I recently shared this case of Miss-fakin’-identity via First Person Arts’ StorySlam at World Cafe Live.
