Primer Gallery… 30 ounces of black paint, 24 ounces of beer, 3 foam brushes and 270 square feet of paper later.
It’s well documented that fellow UsedWigger, Jeff Lyons, has no sense of smell and only 34% of his hearing. He does, however, have a keen eye and a mild case of the shutter bug. Here are some Lyonized snapshots of last Friday’s Nightline event at Primer Gallery. This evening, I’ll be tackling this wall-sized piece of paper during a First Friday performance at Hatboro’s Primer Gallery. Only one of us will make it out alive. Celebrate First Friday with me… Hatboro-style, as I create a mural-sized line painting before your very eyes. Music, munchies and spirits will be on hand to attack (or dull) the remaining senses. Still not convinced? I’ll toss, hand, raffle, grant, distribute and give free paintings away all night long. Friday, November 6th, 6:00 – 11:00ish PM (Performance 7:00 – 9:00ish PM)
“Sweetheart, remember when we threw that Sparkle party and a guy showed up in sequin pants and painted all over our wall? Why didn’t we have him arrested?”
Many thanks to the attendees of Thursday’s Hanging Jackets opening reception. Additional e-props to DJ iLLumadel for supplying the groves, Arcadia Boutique for playing host and City Paper AND Philadelphia Weekly for issuing all-points blurbetins. Join me in Northern Liberties as I unveil dozens of art adorned album jackets. In addition to the “groovy” wall candy, expect spinning by Philadelphia’s DJ iLLumadel, live art, art giveaways, a trunk show, munchies and spirits. Thursday, September 17th, 6:00 – 9:00 PM The collection of recycled record reliquaries will be on display throughout the autumn. As if I didn’t have enough reasons to adore my iPhriend, Pano comes along and enchants my pants off. Here are a few snaps, of everyday haunts, woven together in the palm of my hand. Thumbnails don’t properly convey the elongated splendor. |
